Woodford WI provides a variety of activities and events for local women of all ages in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. There is a full programme of interesting talks and activities at the monthly meetings and members are invited to join any of the weekly groups or set up one of their own.
Members play bridge, darts and table tennis, we are also in the process of setting up a craft group. A singing for fun choir has a varied programme of performances in the area. There is also a classical music appreciation society which meets occasionally and a walking group which has a programme of walks in the local area.
the entertainment group provides diversions at our meetings and sometimes for other groups in the area. Outings and social events are held regularly throughout the year.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday evening of every month in the large hall of The Woodford Community Centre, starting at 7.30pm. Members are kept up to date with what is happening in the WI regionally and nationally and can take part in debate on important issues if they wish. they also have access to the WI training centre and the regional office in Chester.
