What The Centre Has To Offer

SMALL HALL

This hall is an attractive room looking out to the side garden of the centre. It will happily accommodate up to 50 people seated at tables or up to 70 people seated in auditorium fashion.

The hall can be used for a variety of uses and is ideal for small conferences, meetings or talks. A projector screen is available for such purposes. It is also a popular venue for children’s and adult’s parties with a mobile bar also being available. Click on the the above link to see the Small hall pages.

LARGE HALL

The large hall houses the stage and main bar area. It will comfortably seat 150 people at tables for a variety of functions or up to 200 in auditorium style facing the stage. The stage itself is large enough to accommodate a sizeable band or any dramatic production and has full theatrical lighting and a modern sound system. The lighting in the hall is variable with a mixture of alternative bright fluorescent or spot dimmers.

The large hall is a versatile venue for a whole range of functions. It regularly houses parties, seminars, dances, concerts, plays, weddings, craft and antique fairs, indoor car boot sales – the list is endless.

There is also a fully marked badminton court and the hall is suitable for all of the gentler indoor sports.

KITCHEN

The centre houses a large, modern and well-equipped kitchen which is separately accessible from either of the two halls. It has a large, modern commercial gas cooker, a microwave, two large sinks, refrigerator and large work surfaces for the preparation of food. It can be used either by the hirer or their appointed caterers and has a separate loading area to the rear. Dinner and side plates and cups and saucers are included in the price of the hire.

BAR

The centre also has a fully licensed modern bar which is run by Graham Farrand. The licence covers all functions held at the centre and Graham can accommodate requests for either a full bar or waiter service subject to your requirements.

FIELD

To the rear of the centre is a two acre field which can be hired at little cost either separately or with the booking of the hall. It can host a variety of events from sports events to dog shows. It is also an ideal venue for marquees, which can be connected to the rear of the centre to provide a slightly different venue, whilst retaining access to all the services the centre has to offer.

PARKING

At the side of the centre is a tarmac car park which will house approximately one hundred cars.

GENERAL

The centre can provide tables and chairs to accommodate the numbers already referred to. It also has crockery and cutlery and glassware can be provided by Graham Farrand.

The centre is licensed by the Performing Rights Society and the Phonographic Rights Society for the broadcast of all types of copyright material.

PLAYGROUND

At the front of the centre is a children’s play area for the under 7’s with swings, a large slide and rocking horses. All play areas have safety ‘soft’ flooring. Often an ideal way to end a children’s party.
